It's now August and I can't remember a Summer here where there was nothing but smoke in the sky. Here in the Okanagan (located in BC, Canada), we have head terrible forest fires. Recently a fire that has been burning for a good part of 3 weeks now has expanded. Every single day when you walk outside you can smell smoke, and look at the sky, just covered in smoke. At night time, when the sun is going down, the town turns pink. Somehow, the smoke, clouds and other things cause the sunlight to shine down pink everywhere.
It would be nice for it to clear up before the summer is over, but the terrace mountain fire seems to be out of control. If anyone is interested at looking at pictures, go to http://www.castanet.net
